Please note that as a school with over 1,000 individuals, it is important that communication channels are stuck to in order to ensure that any issues are dealt with swiftly and effectively. For example, emailing a member of the Senior Leadership Team with a day-to-day pastoral concern will result in the Leadership Team member forwarding the response onto the tutor, causing a delay. Please see the below process in order to correctly identify the appropriate member of staff to raise questions or concerns with:

  • If you have concerns about your child's pastoral care, friendships or relationships, please contact your child's tutor in the first instance.  For more urgent or serious concerns, you may wish to contact your child's Head of Year
  • If you have concerns about your child's progress in a subject area, or want to know more about the curriculum areas, please contact your child's classroom teacher in the first instance. For more urgent or serious concerns, you may wish to contact your child's Head of Department.
  • A member of our Senior Leadership Team is also attached to every year group and department. Your HOY/HOD may at times include an SLT representative in emails or indeed face to face meetings if required.
  • See the flowchart below to help you identify the correct member of staff to speak with.
