As part of our focus on mental health and wellbeing, we are introducing mindfulness sessions as part of tutor time every morning. This will include 10 minutes each morning,
focussing on breathing and relaxation techniques. Crucially, these sessions can lessen the anxiety, pain and anguish that some of our students go through, but also reduce their need for intensive support further down the line. We know how vital it is to step in early with support and to stop problems in their tracks. In addition to this programme, students will also take part in short information sessions either with specialist instructors or trained teachers. All of our staff will receive this training during our staff planning week early in September.
