Message from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers

Chertsey High School is a place where the individual matters. First and foremost, we are a family - a ‘people place’. We are committed to the personal development of our students in the fullest sense. They are encouraged to work hard towards academic success and we are proud of the results which they achieve. But just as important is the development of their characters: their confidence and values, their creative and physical skills and their appreciation of who they are and what they can contribute to the world.

Our core values of knowledge, determination and love underpin all we do as a school. They  go a long way to preparing our students for life's challenges and the responsibilities of adulthood. Our aim is to equip our Chertsey students with the strongest possible foundations for their future.

We know that young people today face many challenges, not least of which is their mental health and wellbeing. We are strongly committed to providing the best student welfare individually tailored for each individual. This was recognised by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence when they awarded the school with the prestigious Gold Award for Mental Health.

We provide everything a great school should: a challenging and rich academic curriculum, plenty of sport and extra-curricular opportunities, and the highest expectations in which students can be challenged to reach their full potential.

The only way to experience the authentic CHS family is to visit us and meet our students. We are delighted to welcome visitors throughout the academic year and encourage you to contact us and make an appointment.

With very best wishes
Mary Gould
