"Every choice you make is powerful"
In Year 10, we will continue to focus on empowering students to recognise the importance of their choices as they progress through their secondary school journey. “Every choice you make is powerful” remains a guiding principle, encouraging students to understand the impact of their decisions on their academic, personal, and social lives.
Having now started their GCSE courses, students are beginning to experience the increased expectations, responsibilities, and challenges that come with this important stage of their education. The choices they make each day — from their attitude to learning and commitment to their studies, to the way they manage relationships and respond to challenges — can have a significant impact on their progress and future opportunities.
Year 10 is therefore a key year for developing independence, resilience, and accountability. Students are encouraged to take increasing ownership of their learning and recognise that the habits and decisions they make now can shape their success in Year 11 and beyond. The Year 10 team will continue to provide a supportive and encouraging environment, while challenging students to make positive choices, take responsibility for their actions, and strive to achieve their potential.
