Our year 11 cohort continue to be the BRAVE year group.

Believe - Believe in yourself to be successful inside and outside of the classroom.

Resist - Resist the temptation to make negative choices or follow the behaviour of your peers.

Appreciate - Appreciate the hard work that teachers put into your education and the relationships you have with friends

Virtuous - Have a strong moral compass and make sure you consider how your actions affect others.

Embrace - Embrace the challenges you face in school and look to have a growth mindset when you face adversity.

Mr Brookmyre’s vision is that every student grows in confidence, resilience, and ambition so they are fully prepared for success in Year 11 and beyond.

• Raise Aspirations – Encourage every student to reach for the ambitious goals they set last year, recognise their potential, and strive to achieve strong outcomes.
• Promote Responsibility – Continue to develop independence, resilience, and accountability by taking ownership of their learning and behaviour.
• Be conscious of student wellbeing– Create a supportive environment where students feel safe, valued, and confident.
• Team culture– Foster a sense of teamwork, and respect, ensuring all students contribute to a positive year-group culture.
• Prepare for the Future – Provide opportunities to explore career pathways, further study, and personal growth, equipping students with skills for life after school.
